With a background in both business (B.Comm) and law (LLB), Timothy brings a wealth of development management knowledge and expertise to the team. With close to 20 years of experience in brownfield redevelopment and development, he has worked to remediate some of Ontario’s most contaminated properties for residential and commercial purposes. Timothy has been particularly innovative in utilizing municipal incentive agreements to structure Public-Private Partnerships, a strategy that was instrumental in securing the first-ever Federation of Canadian Municipalities capital loan of $17.5M to a private corporation.
His extensive legal experience further complements his development work, as he applies his deep knowledge of real estate law to advocate effectively for clients in Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) hearings. Timothy’s strategic approach has also enabled him to secure brownfield tax incentives and construction loans, negotiating favorable terms between developers and municipalities. His expertise in both legal and financial aspects ensures the successful navigation of complex development projects, from securing approvals to finalizing financing.
Timothy specializes in high-level project coordination, environmental remediation, the development approval process, and financial and contractual management.
Some of Timothy’s recent projects and asset management roles include:
Cytec Lands, Niagara Falls
