The congregation of Maon Noam Khakhan Jewish Synagogue and Community Centre at 910 Rutherford Road in the City of Vaughan is seeking an Amendment to Zoning By-law 1-88 and Application for Site Development in support of developing a 3-storey addition to the existing Synagogue and Community Centre. Three Pre-Consultation meetings have been held under the Planning Act in the City of Vaughan; June 9th 2016, December 13, 2019 and May 27, 2021. These meetings resulted in the completion of the final and revised Pre-Consultation Meeting Form/Complete Application Checklist for the required zoning by-law amendment.
LANDx Developments is presently working on obtaining approval on the Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Development application for this project. LANDx is ensuring that the development meets City-Wide Urban Design Guidelines and is ensuring that the heritage feature are conserved and is a focal point for the design of the Synagogue expansion.
