Overview of Kleinburg Village Improvements

URBAN, Urban Design, Vaughan, YORK,

Vaughan is enhancing infrastructure in Kleinburg Village to support sustainable growth and mixed-use developments, with a focus on improving walkability.

Vaughan is strategically addressing the province’s growing housing needs by implementing forward-thinking plans and municipal infrastructure projects designed to support residential intensification through high-density, mixed-use developments, combining both residential and commercial spaces.

Kleinburg Village is undergoing major infrastructure upgrades to support future residential and commercial intensification while preserving its historic charm.

Key initiatives by the City of Vaughan include:

  • Road Redesign & Traffic Flow: Separate vehicle and bike lanes, upgraded intersections, and improved traffic management.
  • Pedestrian Enhancements: Wider sidewalks, new street lighting, and natural landscaping.
  • Gateway Features: A signature entry point at Highway 27 and Nashville Road.

Construction began in 2024 and will be completed by summer 2026, with phased improvements including roadwork, bike lanes, and multi-use paths.

This transformation aims to create a vibrant, walkable community. LANDx can explore opportunities to support developers as the village grows and intensifies.
